There’s a quiet moment in every mission where something shifts from an idea… into reality. Today is that moment for CatCause.

We are humbled to share that our nonprofit will award its first Shelter of the Month Micro-Grant: $250 in direct support to help care for cats currently in the nominated rescue shelter. It may seem small in the grand scale of animal welfare, but beginnings are rarely loud — they are steady, intentional, and full of heart.

This grant is more than a financial gesture. It is a message to shelters everywhere:

“You are seen. Your work matters. You shouldn’t have to do it alone.”

Across the country, we’ve heard stories of:

  • volunteers paying for vet bills out of pocket,

  • staff working weekends with no breaks,

  • kittens needing formula in the middle of the night,

  • shy cats learning trust one day at a time.

If this micro-grant can lighten that weight even briefly, then it has done something real.

This is the first of many. As we grow, we plan to expand our grant program and reach more shelters across the US, especially the ones just big enough to save lives, but small enough to be overlooked.

For now, we pause, breathe, and feel grateful. A door has opened. A beginning has been made. And somewhere, a cat will be fed, warmed, comforted, or healed because of it.

Thank you for helping build this from the ground up.

This isn’t our story — it’s theirs.
